Bobbie Daniel Smith

Bobbie Daniel Smith, 75, of Cook Rd., Denton, NC passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023, at Atrium Health High Point Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held 4:00 PM Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at Chapel Hill Methodist Church with Rev. Chris Smith and Rev. Thomas Frizzell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Bobbie was born September 9, 1947, in Davidson County to Arthur Reece Smith and Carmol Cloie Luther Smith. He was a longtime active member of Chapel Hill Church and served in the Army National Guard from 1966 until 1972. Bobbie was a retired fireman with South Davidson Fire Department having been a member since 1973. For most of lifetime Bobbie worked in the family Tire and Muffler shop and in 1996 he became the owner of the shop known as Bobbies Tire and Muffler. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his fiancé, Tonja Robbins; by a brother, Rev. Derald Smith and wife Linda; sisters, Ronda Walton and husband Mic and Ava Badgett and husband Sid all of Denton; and by several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the home of Derald and Linda Smith.
