Billy Ray Hughes

Mr. Billy Ray Hughes, 79, formerly of Hughes Rd. Lexington passed away on Friday, January 31, 2020 at Mountain Vista Health Park in Denton.

Services will be private.

Mr. Hughes was born in Davidson County on February 19, 1940 to Faytie Hughes and Lily Mae Gordon Hughes. He was of the Baptist Faith. For the majority of his working life Mr. Hughes had worked as a molder in the furniture industry.

He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Cooper Hughes of the home; daughters, Molly Covington of Denton, Peggy Feltes of Dunn, Carol Hughes of NY, Mary Thompson of FL, and Jane Hughes of Lexington; 4 brothers and 6 sisters; 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to the donor’s choice.
