Mr. Billy James Hill, age 42, of Asheboro, died Tuesday, June 3, the result of an automobile accident. Funeral service for Mr. Hill will be 11:00 am Saturday, June 7 at Summerville Baptist Church with Rev. Clayton Stoneman and Rev. Vern Peterson officiating. Burial will follow in the First Baptist Church Cemetery in Denton. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the home of the mother on Wicker Lovell Road, Randleman. Mr. Hill was born November 29, 1971 in Montgomery County, Texas to James Earl Hill and Betty Joyce Whitehead. He was employed at Leggett & Platt in Linwood. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Denton where he sang in the choir. He worked with the Project Santa program in Denton and was a big Tony Stewart and Dale Earnhardt fan. He was also a fan of the Carolina Tarheels and the New York Giants. He enjoyed playing basketball with his kids, bowling and always loved a good card game. He is survived by his wife Martha Burleson Hill of Denton, two sons James Ryan Hill and Billy Gene Hill, both of Asheboro, his mother, Betty Joyce Whitehead Eisele and step-father, John Eisele of Asheboro, two brothers, Ronnie Earl Hill of Lexington and John Hill of Massachusetts and one sister Amanda Stoneman of Asheboro and step-father Edward Jordan of Lexington.
