Billy Ray Henderson

Billy Ray Henderson, 86, of Greenbrier Drive, Denton, died Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Thomasville Medical Center. Graveside Memorial Service will be Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 1:00 PM. Born in Denton on October 19, 1928, he was the son of Ross and Annie Griffin Henderson. He was retired US Military, serving 2 years in the Marines and 22 years in the Air Force. He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Ann Henderson in 2013. He is survived by 2 sons, Johnny Henderson and wife Dennise of Lexington and Ricky Henderson of the home; daughter, Donna Daniel and husband Steve of Badin Lake; brother, Norman Henderson and wife Linda of Denton; 4 Grandchildren, Mandy, Jennifer, Sharrell and Catherine; 4 Great-grandchildren, Leah, Ava, Autumn and Hailey. The family will receive friends at the First Baptist Shelter on Thursday from 12 noon to 1 PM prior to the service and other times at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Denton, PO Box 515, Denton NC 27239 Briggs Funeral Home of Denton is in charge of arrangements.
