Billie Carr Bocetti

DURHAM-Billie Lee Carr Bocetti, 84, of Durham, died Saturday, October 25, 2014 at her residence. A graveside memorial service will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 2, 2014 at Candor Cemetery, with Rev. David Heath. Born on January 24, 1930 in Montgomery County, she was the daughter of Bill and Nell Steed Carr. She was a registered nurse, a member of the Church of the Holy Family in Chapel Hill and a member of the DAR. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Bocetti in 2008. She is survived by 2 daughters, Lynda Williamson Senter of Durham and Lauri Williamson Carter (Bob) of Pinehurst; brother, Richard Carr (Suebee) of St. Louis, MO; 4 Grandchildren, Brittany and Lindsay Senter, both of Durham, Lauren Arnold (Joseph) of Aurora, CO and Erinn Oakley of Pinehurst; 2 Great-grandchildren, Hannah Oakley and Abigail Arnold of Aurora, CO. The family will receive friends from 1:00-1:45 PM Sunday at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home in Candor. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Billie Carr Bocetti to the Duke Cancer Institute to support urologic oncology research.
