Billet Lamonds Reynolds

Billet Lamonds Reynolds (92) of Candor, NC, went to be with lord on July 31, 2025. She passed away peacefully at Quail Haven Village in Pinehurst, NC surrounded by her loved ones.

Billet was a beloved wife, mother, granny, great-granny, and friend. Anyone who knew Billet knew that her family were the jewels in her crown. She loved having a full house, and never missed an opportunity to whip up a home cooked meal.

She was a faithful member of the Candor United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school, led the Methodist Youth Fellowship group, and was instrumental in the Terrific Tuesday program which combined two of her passions - education and her faith. Billet also spent many years as a dedicated teacher’s assistant at Candor Elementary School.

Billet was born on December 1,1932 in Troy, NC to Archie Mack Lamonds and Sarah “Sally” Ledbetter Lamonds. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Fred Reynolds, and her son Ronald Wayne Reynolds. She is survived by her children: Ray Reynolds (son) and his wife Debbie, Sharon Myrick Reynolds (daughter-in-law), Reba Yeager (daughter), Robin Hutchings (daughter) and her husband Chuck, 12 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Fox Hollow Senior Living, Quail Haven, and FirstHealth Hospice for caring for Billet over the last year.

A celebration of life will be held at Candor United Methodist Church, 203 S Main Street, Candor, NC 27229, on Saturday, August 2, 2025. Visitation will be from 1:30pm to 3pm and the funeral will follow immediately after. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Candor United Methodist Church would be appreciated. They can be sent to PO Box 456, Candor, NC 27229.
