Ms. Betty Allred Plummer, 82, formerly of NC HWY 8, Denton passed away on Monday, February 26, 2018 at Oak Forest Health and Rehab in Winston Salem.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Friday, March 2 at Alleghany United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Richard Gould presiding.

The family will receive friends Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 am at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton.

Betty was born February 26, 1936 in Davidson County to Jesse T. Allred and Cola Taylor Allred. She was a member of Alleghany United Methodist Church and had been employed with Surratt Hosiery Mill. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Peggy Allred Cranford and J.W. Cranford.

She is survived by cousins, Larry Varner (Dianne), Bobby Taylor (Vicky), and Beauford Taylor (Arlene); her Oak Forest Health and Rehab family whom the family is very appreciative for the love and care given to Betty these past 5 years.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Betty’s friends who continued to send cards and letters while she was a resident of Oak Forest.

Betty’s wishes were for memorials to be made to Alleghany United Methodist Church in c/o Steve Covington 265 Ross Lee Rd. Denton, NC 27239.
