Betty Daniel Pierce

Mrs. Betty Daniel Pierce, 81, a resident of Daniel Pierce Dr., Denton, NC passed away on Monday, Nov. 20, 2017 at Hinkle Hospice House. A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Friday, Nov. 24 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Kim Harris presiding. Interment will follow at Summerville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Briggs funeral home from 1:00 to 2:30 pm Friday prior to the service and other times at the residence. Mrs. Pierce was born July 8, 1936 in Davidson County the daughter of the late Buren Daniel and Elsie Mae Shipton Daniel. She was a graduate of Denton High School and had worked as a bookkeeper. She is survived by husband, Luther Pierce of the home; son, Ricky Pierce of Asheboro; daughter, Barbara Hunt of Denton; brothers, David Daniel of Thomasville, Rev. Johnny Daniel, Joe Daniel, and Kenneth Daniel all of Denton; sisters, Frances Fowler of High Point and Ruby Hulin of Denton; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
