Betty Nichols

Mrs. Betty Davis Nichols age 83 of Nichols-Cranford Rd., Denton died Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Randolph Hospice House. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, Dec. 13 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel conducted by Rev. Chris Smith. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton. Mrs. Nichols was born April 9, 1932 in Randolph County to Travis Clinton Davis and Freda Yates Davis. She worked as folder at Thornton Hosiery for 23 years and was a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. Betty was preceded in death by husband, Kenneth Monroe Nichols; son, Gayle Monroe Nichols; brothers, Travis Junior Davis and Bobby Clinton Yates. Surviving is daughter, Deborah Ann Nichols Boles (Dennis) of Asheboro; 3 grandchildren, Shannon Parrish, Donnie Boles, and Misty Mize; 3 great grandchildren, Joshua Parrish, Justin Parrish, and Emery Mize; sister, Anna Adams of Biscoe.
