Betty Gerringer

Mrs. Betty Jean Welborn Gerringer, age 70, of Woodfield Court Extension, Sophia, NC died Sunday, June 29 at her residence. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday at Briggs Memorial Chapel with Rev. Charles Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Gilead United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Gerringer was born February 20, 1938 in Guilford County to Joe Taft and Grace Harrison Welborn. She was a graduate of Trinity High School and had been employed at Mr. Jeans and American Chair and Table of Randleman. She had attended Mt. Gilead United Methodist Church. Mrs. Gerringer is survived by her husband, Harold Loman Gerringer of the home, daughters, Robin Annette Tollison and husband Dickie of Denton and Grace Michelle Abrams and husband Carter of Sophia, two brothers, Max Welborn of Level Cross and Richard Welborn of Trinity, half-sisters, Debbie Price of High Point and Nancy Walker of Trinity, four grandchildren, Marcus and Brian Tollison and Victoria and Meagan Abrams.
