Betty Smith Fleury

Denton- Mrs. Betty Jean Smith Fleury, age 78 of Denton, died Saturday, June 17, 2006 in Denton. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, June 23, 2006 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Carroll Upton officiating. Mrs. Fleury was born March 29, 1928, the daughter of Homer D. Smith and Katherine Satterfield Smith in Fairmont, West Virginia. She was a former gardener with Wallin Nurseries in Florida and member of the First Presbyterian Church in Fairmont. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Fleury. She is survived her daughter Shela Ellis of Lake Placid, Fl, a brother, Willard Smith of Homossasa, FL, a grandson, G.B. Ellis of Pompano Beach, Fl and a neice, Susan Mitchell of Denton. The family will receive friends after the service on Friday. Memorials may be made to the Center of Living Home Health and Hospice, 416 Vision Drive, Asheboro, NC 27203.
