Bessie Hulin Parrish

Bessie Hulin Parrish, 86, of Bescher Chapel Rd., Trinity, NC passed away on Sunday, Dec. 5, 2021, at Thomasville Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, Dec. 9, at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Pierce’s Chapel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Face mask are strongly recommended and please observe social distancing.

Public viewing will be from 1:00 until 2:00 on Thursday prior to the service. The family will not be present.

Ms. Parrish was born March 26, 1935, in Randolph County to James (Jim) Arthur Hulin and Canara Garner Hulin. She was a homemaker and a member of Pierce’s Chapel Primitive Baptist Church. In addition to her parents Bessie was also preceded in death by her husband, Arris Franklin Parrish; a sister, Alma McDowell Markham and 2 brothers, Clarence Hulin and Fred Hulin.

She is survived by son, Jerry Parrish and fiancée, Rhonda Snider Dunn of Trinity; daughter, Rita P. Steed and husband Phillip of Denton; brothers, Tom Hulin and Holis Hulin both of Denton; sisters, Jacqueline H. Sexton, Exie Hedrick, and Sarah Hulin all of Denton; granddaughter, Amanda Parrish Caldarazzo and husband Matt; great-granddaughter, Lexie Parrish.
