Bert Wooten

Bert Randall Wooten, Jr., 66, of New London, NC passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Atrium Health Stanly. Born on October 21, 1958, in Baltimore, Maryland the son of Bert Randall Wooten, Sr. and Myrtle Irene Phillips Wooten.

Bert had worked as a cast operator in the aluminum manufacturing industry. He was an active member of Chandler’s Grove Methodist Church where he was devoted to serving in the food bank ministry. As a motorcycle enthusiast Bert had a passion for all things Harley Davidson. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Annis McKinney.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Angel Trent Wooten, son, Randy Turpin, daughters, Skylar Lee Carver and Destiny Lynn Carver, sister, Angel Wooten Kornish and her husband Eddie.

A celebration of life service is being planned for a later date at Chandler’s Grove Methodist Church.

In memory of Bert memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society or Chandler’s Grove Methodist Church.
