Becky Rorex

Mrs. Rebecca “Becky” Embler Rorex, 60, of Denton, Rd., Denton passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Hinkle Hospice House.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Summerville Baptist Church with Rev. Flynn Richardson presiding. Interment will follow at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Rorex was born June 23, 1958 in Davidson County to Paul Davis “P.D.” Embler and Ruth Helen Johnson Embler. Becky was a Registered Nurse and had been employed with Advanced Home Care for 20 plus years. She was a member of Baptist Nursing Fellowship where she had previously served as a board member. She was a member of Summerville Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Helen Johnson Embler and by brothers, Randy and Ricky Embler.

Becky is survived by husband, Doyle Rorex of the home; sons, Andrew Rorex (Jennifer) of Wake Forest, NC and Matthew Rorex (Carrie) of Denton; brother, Rusty Embler of Thomasville; father, Paul Davis “P.D.” Embler of Thomasville; 3 grandchildren, Caroline, Davis, and Anna Beth Rorex.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence.
