Denton, NC-Barbara Wylie Barbara Sue Garner Wylie, 59, of Tysinger Rd., Denton died Saturday, August 9, 2008 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 12 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Lacy Cagle officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Wylie was born May 6, 1949 in Davidson County to James Fred Garner and Pearl Etta Hancock Garner. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Bobby James Garner and Willie Lester Garner, a sister Jacqueline Garner Tysinger and her son, Jeffery Eugene Wylie. Survivors include her companion, Donald Hill of the home, 4 sisters, Clara Mae Honeycutt and Hazel Lee Yates, both of Southmont, Wilma Lee Gammons of Denton and Mary Louise Garner of Lexington, 1 Great-grandchild, Nicholas Cooper of the home. The family will see friends on Monday from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton other times at the residence on Tysinger Rd.
