Barbara T. Pierce DENTON — Barbara Thompson Pierce, 62, of Burkhead Lane, died Saturday, May 13, 2006, at her home. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Chris Smith officiating. She was a native of Rowan County, the widow of Larry Pierce and a retired employee of Duracell Battery Company. Surviving are brother, Dennis Thompson of Rockwell; sisters, Betty Goodman of Rockwell, Ida Powles of Salisbury; two grandchildren. Briggs Funeral Home, Denton, is in charge of arrangements
