Barbara Carter Harris

Barbara Carter Harris, 86, formerly of Eagle Springs, died Sunday, July 13, 2025 in Pinebluff.  Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at Eagle Springs Baptist Church, with Rev. Matt Brogli officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Born in Moore County on February 18, 1939, she was the daughter of Lyndon and Bertha Williams Zachary.  She was a member of Eagle Springs Baptist Church, and was a bank teller at BB&T Seven Lakes.  He greatest joys were of being a mother, housewife and stat keeper for her sons basketball teams.  She had attended college at Avery College in Danville VA.  She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Owen Carter in 1960 and Robert “Bo” Harris in 2021, and a sister, Doris Mabe.

Barbara is survived by two sons, Robert Owen “Bob” Carter, Jr. and wife Danielle of Pinebluff, and Zachary Clark Harris “Zach” of West End; grandson, Zachary Christian Harris; 2 great-grandchildren, Foster Reed Harris and Ainslie Elizabeth Harris.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eagle Springs Baptist Church, PO Box 118, Eagle Springs NC  27242.
