Audrey Smith

Audrey Lanier Smith, 86, of Rock Hill, SC and formerly of Denton, NC died Friday, April 11, 2008 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, April 14 at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Chris Smith and Rev. Derald Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Smith was born Feb. 3, 1922 in Davidson County to Branson Irving Lanier and Minnie Estella Harrison Lanier. She was a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbridge Smith and by her daughter Carolyn Smith Wilkins and by a brother Buren Lanier. Survivors include; grandchildren, Amy Peele, Kelly Helms both of Rock Hill, SC, and Gina Jones of Charlotte and 7 great grandchildren and 1 Great great grandchild. The family will see friends on Sunday from 4:00 to 5:30 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton.
