Arthur Clarence Owens, Jr.

Mr. Arthur Clarence Owens, Jr., 74, of S. NC HWY 109, Denton passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018 at his residence.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, April 22 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Derald Smith presiding.

Arthur was born March 23, 1944 in Randolph County to Arthur Clarence Owens, Sr. and Virginia Dare Batten Owens. Mr. Owens was a loving father and had worked with Klopman Mills and Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Asheboro. He had served in the National Guard. Arthur also was an avid UNC Tar Heels and Washington Redskins fan, he loved to play golf, and he enjoyed watching NASCAR. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by son, Anthony Todd Owens of Denton; step son, Nicholas Doman of Charlotte; brother, Timothy Owens of Morehead City; sisters, Clara Owens of Seagrove and Vera Cox of Asheboro.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 to 3:00pm prior to the service at Briggs Funeral Home.
