Mr. Arthur Marlin Faircloth, Jr. age 78, of Heartleaf Trail, Denton passed away February 9, 2016 at his residence. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Friday at Calvary Gospel Church conducted by Rev. Don Jarrell. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Faircloth was born October 25, 1937 in Montgomery County to Arthur Faircloth, Sr. and Beulah Vanhoy Faircloth. He was a finish carpenter and a member of Calvary Gospel Church. Arthur was an advocate of Donate Life himself being a recipient of a heart transplant in 1991. Surviving are wife, Wanda Morton Faircloth of the home; sons, Dale Faircloth of Denton, Mark Faircloth of Georgia, and Jonathan Faircloth of Albemarle; daughters, Karen Deaton of Asheboro and Shelia Duty of Denton; brother, Grover Faircloth of Robertsdale, AL; sisters, Daisy Haithcock and Velvie Haithcock both of Albemarle; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence. Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association.
