Arthur Curlee

Mr. Carson Arthur Curlee, 87, a former resident of Shaver Rd. Richfield passed away on Monday, December 04, 2017 at Liberty Commons Nursing Center in Salisbury. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am Tuesday, Dec. 12 at Wyatt’s Grove Baptist Church with Rev. David Jones presiding. Interment with Military Honors will follow at the VA National Cemetery in Salisbury. Mr. Curlee was born June 9, 1929 in Iredell County to Carson W. Curlee and Murial Arthur Curlee. He was a veteran of the United States Navy specializing as a Aviation Electronic Technician. Also he had been an employee NASA Lockhead Martin at Cape Canaveral and with Duke Power as a Control Supervisor. He was a member of Wyatt’s Grove Baptist Church and an honorary member of Pooletown Volunteer Fire Department. Arthur is survived by sons, Carson Robert “Bobby” Curlee and wife Lakey of Faith and Rodney Dean Curlee of Gillette, WY; daughters, Donna Jackson of Spencer and Karen DeMunbrun and husband Bill of Salisbury; sister, Grace Morgan of Salisbury; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
