Art Neal Wilson, Jr.

Mr. Arthur Neal (Art) Wilson, Jr., age 67, of Howell Drive, Denton died Tuesday, May 11 at his residence. Funeral service will be 3:00 pm Friday, May 14 at Summerville Baptist Church with Dr. Clint Scott, Rev. Tom McLean and Rev. Claudie Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Wilson was born July 7, 1942 in Richmond County to Arthur Neal Wilson, Sr. and Gertrude Heavner Wilson. He was self-employed with Turn Key Corp. Housing and was a member of Summerville Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and was a member of the Denton Masonic Lodge #404. He was preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Lookabill who was from Wadesboro. Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Deloris McDonald Wilson of the home, daughter Michelle Gallimore and husband Gary of Denton, son, Aaron Wilson of Atlanta, GA, brother, Stephen Wilson of Statesville, sister, Charlotte Blevins of Rockingham, grandchildren, Travis and Heather Gallimore and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 pm Thursday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence on Howell Drive. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
