Arlene Wilson Cody

Mrs. Arlene Wilson Cody, age 85 of Lexington, NC died Sunday, April 5 at Lexington Health Care. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, April 8 at Silver Valley Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Gene Little and Rev. Joe Leach. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Mrs. Wilson was born August 27, 1923 in Davidson County to Claude Lee Wilson and Bertha Caroline Cross Wilson. She was a member of Silver Valley Baptist Church and had worked at Ragan Hosiery Mill in Thomasville and Tysinger Hosiery Mill. She was married to Ray Austin Cody who died in 1988. She was also preceded in death by a brother Efird Wilson, Sr. and by an infant brother and sister. Mrs. Cody is survived by a son Doug Cody of Lexington; daughters, Diane Stanley and husband William of Thomasville, and Wanda Loflin of Denton. She is also survived by a brother, Arvil Wilson of Lexington; a sister Eunice Hedrick of Thomasville; and grandchildren, Angie Stanley, Danielle Treadway and Allison Turner. The family will see friends from 6:30 to 8:30 PM Tuesday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence.
