Annie Hulin Saunders

Annie Hulin Saunders, 88, of Salem Ch. Rd., Denton, NC passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2021 at her residence.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, Sept. 26 at Christian Life Freewill Baptist Church in Thomasville conducted by Rev. Gary Brown, Mr. Dwayne Stanley, and Mr. Derrick Barker. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens in Denton.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence.

Mrs. Saunders was born in Randolph County on September 11, 1933 to Lewis Hulin and Dora Poole Hulin. She was a member of Christian Life Freewill Baptist Church and had worked for Blue Gem as a sewer. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Saunders, brothers, Robert, Jack, Bud, and John Hulin; sisters, Marie Latham and Eva Lambeth.

She is survived by daughters, Rhonda Middleton (Billy) of Denton, Paget Wilson (Rusty) of Holden Beach, and Robin Stanley (Dwayne) of Sophia; 9 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
