Candor, NC-Annie Freeman Annie Elizabeth Smith Freeman, 83, formerly of E. Randolph St., Candor, died Sunday, September 02, 2007 at Autumn Care of Biscoe Graveside Services will be Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Candor Town Cemetery, with Rev. Jack Phillips officiating. Mrs. Freeman was born October 9, 1923 in Montgomery County to Will and Roberta Leach Smith. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Candor. She operated The Candor Farmers Market for many years. The following preceded her in death; her husband Charlie Cecil Freeman Sr. and son Charlie Cecil Freeman Jr. She is survived by 2 daughters, Dixie Williams of Star and Darlene Jessup of Candor; a son, Richard Freeman of Candor; a sister, Lena Vredenburg of Candor; 10 Grandchildren; 3 Great-grandchildren. The family will see friends at the residence on E. Randolph St., Candor. The body can be viewed on Tuesday from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home.
