Anne Deaton Fox

Anne Deaton Fox, 87, of Candor, died Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Funeral Service will be 3:00 PM Friday at Sardis United Methodist Church, with Rev. Glenn Hancock officiating. Burial will follow in the Candor Cemetery. Born in Avery County on February 8, 1929, she was the daughter of Lonnie Malachi and Ruth Covington Deaton. She was a member of Sardis United Methodist Church and a retired teacher. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elford V. Fox, Sr. in 2002. She is survived by 2 sons, Elford V. Fox, Jr. and wife Shirley, John C. Fox and wife Darlene, all of Candor; daughter, Janice Fox Allen and husband Steve of York, SC; 3 Grandchildren, Cassie Allen, and Michael and Jason Fox; 4 Great-grandchildren, Gracie, Sawyer, Charlie and Lucas Fox. The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM prior to the service at Sardis United Methodist Church on Friday.
