Mrs. Ann Medlin Russell, age 90 of N C Hwy # 109 S., Denton, NC died Saturday, October 18 at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 21 at Bethel Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Gerald Ward and Rev. Arnold Comer. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Russell was born September 3, 1918 in Stanly County to Luther and Lena Taylor Medlin. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She was married to Elsie L. Russell who died June 29, 2003. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Sammy Russell in 1994. Mrs. Russell is survived by a son, Mike Russell and wife Genie; by daughters, Emily Nance, Shelia Skeen and husband Larry all of Denton; a brother Burin Medlin of Albemarle; grandchildren, Rodney Nance, Todd Nance, Shane Ingold, Shonda Freeman and Kristi Routh and by seven (7) Great-grandchildren.
