Ann Luck

Mary Ann Barnette Luck, 75, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Carolina House in Pinehurst. Funeral Service will be 3:00 PM Monday, August 20, 2012 at Eagle Springs Baptist Church with Dr. Zeb Moss officiating. Burial will follow in the West End Cemetery. Mrs. Luck was born June 17, 1937 in Moore County, the daughter of Brownlee and Pauline Carter Barnette. She had worked in the Moore County School System for many years and had retired from Stanley Furniture. She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Luck. She is survived by a son, Ronald Luck and wife Becky, of Norwood; a daughter, Susan Hopkins and husband Warren of Southern Pines; 3 grandchildren, Stephanie Hopkins-Dill and husband William of New Bern, Christina Luck of Charlotte and Stephen Luck of Norwood; 2 Great-grandchildren, Paxton and Bayler Dill; a sister-in-law, Paulette Chisesi and husband Joe of Eastwood; 2 brothers-in-law, Randy Luck and wife Libby of Roseland and Dwayne Luck of Eagle Springs. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 PM Monday prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to FirstHealth Hospice and Palliative Care, 150 Applecross Rd., Pinehurst NC 28374 or to the Carolina House Pinehurst Alzheimer’s Unit, 17 Regional Drive, Pinehurst NC 28374.
