Mrs. Amy Annette Leonard, age 53 of Jarrell Road, Lexington, NC died Monday, August 19 at her residence. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 24 at Jackson Creek Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Billy Joe Yates. .Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence of the sister Vickie Yates on Jarrell Road. Mrs Leonard was born June 29, 1960 in Davidson County to Nession Leonard and Frances Summey Leonard. She had worked at Burlington Industries Denton Plant and also worked as a caregiver. She attended Jackson Creek Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons, Shaun Smith and Chad Smith both of Lexington; sisters, Vickie Yates and husband Billy Joe, Donna Harrison and husband Mickey all of Lexington and Judy Bryant and husband Darrell of Thomasville.
