Amber Nicole Everhart, age 13, of Garner Road, Denton, died Thursday, March 1, 2007, at Thomasville Medical Center. Funeral service will be Sunday, March 4 at 2:30 p.m. at Denton Wesleyan Church on N.C. 109 in Denton, with the Rev. Vern Peterson and the Rev. Roger Mills officiating. Place of interment will be Higher Ground Baptist Church Cemetery in Lexington. Amber was born Feb. 6, 1994, in Davidson County to Wayne Eugene and Teresa Roberts Everhart. She was a seventh grade student at South Davidson Middle School. Survivors are father and stepmother, Wayne Eugene Everhart and wife, Jennifer, of Lexington; mother, Teresa Roberts Everhart of Denton; grandparents, Roy and Irene Roberts of Denton and Dewey and Angelene Everhart of Lexington; great-grandmother, Inez Garrison of Lexington; stepbrothers, Christopher and Michael Barker of Winston-Salem; uncle, Butch Everhart and wife, Suji, of Lexington; aunt, Becky Arthur and husband, Vince, of Denton; cousins, Megan and Ashley Markham, Tanya McCarn and husband, Travis, Logan and Evan McCarn. Visitation will be Saturday, March 3 from 6-8 p.m. at Denton Wesleyan Church on N.C. 109 in Denton. Memorials may be made to Higher Ground Baptist Church, Amber Everhart Playground Fund, P.O. Box 1581, Lexington, N.C. 27293.
