Almeta Coble Wilson, 68, of Substation Road, died Friday, Feb. 2, 2007, at Pinelake Health and Rehab, Carthage. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, with the Rev. Lee Church and the Rev. Brantley Moore officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. She was a native of Montgomery County and a seamstress for Clayson Knitting. Surviving are husband, Harvey Edward “Ed” Wilson of Troy; son, Terry E. Wilson of Troy; sisters, Marie Batten of West End, Carolyn McNeill and Bernice Parsons, both of Biscoe; brothers, Roy Coble of Laurinburg, Jerry Coble, L.D. Coble, Eugene Coble, all of Mt. Gilead, Derwin Coble of Salisbury; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild. The family will be at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home, Candor, 6-8 p.m. Sunday, other times at the home.
