Almer Scarboro

Henry Almer Scarboro, 91, of NC HWY 49 South died Monday, June 07, 2010 at his residence. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday at Gravel Hill Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Danny Hosler and Rev. Gerald Ward. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Scarboro was born November 21, 1918 in Randolph County to Julian Scarboro and Missouri Stout Scarboro. Mr. Scarboro was a member of Gravel Hill Baptist Church and a veteran of the US Army. He was retired from General Electric in Asheboro as an Inspector and also done saw milling and farming. Mr. Scarboro is survived by his wife; Lillie Mae Sexton Scarboro of the home. The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the home of Lola Mae Scarboro on NC HWY 49 South.
