CANDOR-Alma Rosa Torres Garcia Mrs. Alma Rosa Torres Garcia, 52, of McCallum Rd., Candor, died Friday, December 11, 2009 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Funeral Mass will be conducted 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Our Lady of the Americas Catholic Church, with burial to follow in Biscoe Cemetery. Mrs. Garcia was born April 7, 1956 in Mexico, the daughter of Jose Torres and Rafaela Garcia. She was a seamstress with Longworth Industries. She is survived by her husband, Bentura Cervantes; 2 sons, Ventura Cervantes of Candor and Jose G. Cervantes of Star; 3 daughters, Olga Cervantes of Mexico City, Mexico, Liceth Cervantes of Asheboro and Maria S. Cervantes of Candor; 3 brothers, Jose Torres, Leonel Torres and Lauriano Torres, all of Florida; 2 sisters, Josefina B. Torres of Florida and Clemencia Torres of Mexico City; 6 grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5 to 9 PM Tuesday at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home.
