Allen Myers

Mr. Allen Grey Myers, age 79 of NC Hwy # 8, Denton, NC died Monday, August 20 at his residence. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 23 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Denton conducted by Rev. Steve McLain.Burial will follow in the clear Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mr. Myers was born May 25, 1928 in Davidson County to Charlie Van Myers and Willer Cook Myers. He was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church and a veteran of the U S Navy. He was a farmer and had worked as a machine fixer with Burlington Industries, Denton Plant. He is survived by his wife, Edith Broadway Myers of the home, a son Lee Myers of Salisbury, and daughters Cynthia Myers of High Point, Connie Burchette and husband Bryan; Tina Cuzzen and husband John all of Denton. A brother Wood Myers of Denton and sisters Margie Loflin of Butler, Ala. and Elsie Rogers of Denton. Mr. Myers has seven grandchildren, Daniel Myers, David Myers, Katherine Bailey, Samuel Bailey, Tiffany Bailey, Aaron Comer and Wesley Comer and two great grandchildren, Alyssa Beck and Tennesse Myers. The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Briggs Funeral Home and other times at the residence of the daughter Tina Cuzzen, 4241 S. Main St., Denton
