Allan Wayne Jollie, 76, of Newsom Ave. Denton, NC passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at High Point Regional Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, Sep. 30, at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Roger Carmichael officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Community Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence on Newsom Ave. Mr. Jollie was born on January 22, 1948, in Johnston County, NC the son of Joseph Jollie and Ruth Barbour Jollie. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam war. Also, he attended Victory in Truth Baptist Church and was a truck driver. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Carrie Beck Jollie and by his grandparents, Letta Barbour and Albert Barbour whom he thought of as his second parents. He is survived by sons, David Wayne Jollie of Thomasville, Brandon Kyle Jollie and Joel Abram Jollie both of Denton; daughter, Amy Jollie Bodenheimer of Thomasville; sisters, Yvonne Jollie Smith of High Point and Terri Perry of Thomasville; 11grandchildren, Daxton, Courtney, Fredrick, Johnathan, Amber, Morgan, Madison, Cameron, Taylor, Maison, and Joseph; one great-granddaughter, Eleanor.
