Alice Peacock

Mrs. Alice Hedrick Peacock, age 99 of NC Hwy # 8, Lexington, NC died Saturday, July 22 at her residence A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, July 25 at Mountain View Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Tommy Floyd and Rev. Steve Hedgecock. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Peacock was born August 6, 1906 in Davidson County to Jacob Cicero Hedrick and Amanda Frank Hedrick. She was a homemaker and a member of New Jerusalem United Church of Christ and had attended Mountain View Baptist Church for many years. She was married to Samuel Lee Peacock who died in 1962. She was also preceded in death by a sister Mary Elizabeth Leonard. She is survived by sons, Grady Peacock, Johnny Peacock & wife Mary Ellen, and Charles Peacock and wife Carol all of Lexington; Athel Peacock and wife Anita of New Palestine, Ind.; daughters, Bessie Peacock and Mary Louise Peacock both of Lexington, grandchildrenAlan Peacock, Austin Peacock, Jennifer Brunck, Samuel Peacock and Melissa Clark and great grandchildren Jordan Clark, Jayce Clark, Hannah Peacock, Devin Johnson, Kayla Johnson, Austin Barker, Will Brunck, David Peacock, Evan Peacock and Madison Peacock. The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence on NC Hwy # 8
