Alberta Furr

Mrs. Alberta Kellis Furr, age 85 of Autumn Care of Biscoe and formerly Furrville Road, Candor, NC died Friday, April 11 at Autumn Care. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday April 13 at Macedonia Presbyterian Church conducted by Rev. Mark Fisher and Rev. Fred Richardson with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery. Mrs. Furr was born January 29, 1923 in Montgomery County to George Hobart Kellis and Bertie Richardson Kellis. She was a lifelong member of Macedonia Presbyterian Church and a homemaker. She was married to Vann C. Furr who died April 3, 1994. She is survived by sons, Darrell Furr of Troy, Nelson Furr and Tim Furr both of Candor; Daughters, Judy Hurley of Myrtle Beach; Gina Kennedy of Star and Janice McCaskill of Eagle Springs,; a sister Joan Jackson of Asheville, 16 grandchildren and 7 great Grandchildren. The family will see friends at the residence following the service on Sunday. Briggs-Candor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
