Adrena Gallimore

Mrs. Adrena Garner Gallimore, age 82, of Denton, NC passed away Friday, March 10, 2017 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 14 at Piney Grove United Methodist Church, with Rev. Brad Treece presiding. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM prior to the service at Piney Grove UMC. Born in Davidson County on January 26, 1935, she was the daughter of Melvin and Rona Pierce Garner. She was a member of Piney Grove UMC, and loved going to the Senior Program at the Denton Civic Center. She was retired after over 50 years with the Acme-McCrary Hosiery Mill in Asheboro. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Gallimore and a grandson, Yousef Metwally. She is survived by a son, Roger Gallimore of Lexington; daughter Connie Metwally and husband Emad of Cherryville; brother, Randall Garner and wife Darnell of Denton; 2 sisters, Louise Cagle and husband Bob of New Hope and Carolyn Cagle of Lexington; 2 sisters-in-law, Shelby Garner of Trinity and Linda Garner of Lexington; 3 grandchildren, Jason Hughes and wife Stephanie, Hannah Metwally and Ibraheim Metwally; 2 great-grandchildren, Jacie and Jacob Hughes.
