Shirley Lanier

Mrs. Shirley Anderson Lanier, age 79 of Eastside Drive, Denton, NC died Wednesday, November 24 at Mountain Vista Health Park in Denton. A Graveside service will be held at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, November 27 at Tom?s Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Tammy Talbert. Mrs. Lanier was born February 17, 1931 in Wisconsin to Fredrick Anderson and Aline Morkri Anderson. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and a retired employee of Burlington Industries, Denton Plant. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Fred Anderson, a sister Carol Deilke, and sons Kevin Ray Lanier and Sonny Dean Lanier. Mrs. Lanier is survived by sons, Gary Lanier and wife Bonnie, Doug Lanier and wife Gail, and daughter Teresa Ann Stevenson and husband Rob all of Denton. By sisters, Alberta Bolstad of Viroqua, Wisconsin and JoAnn Cramer of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; grandchildren Kim, Heather, Lindsey, Jenna and Savannah; great grandchildren Hannah, Asher and Xander. The family will see friends from 10:00 to 11:30 AM Saturday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence on Eastside Drive.
