Brooks Nelson

Anthony Brooks Nelson, age 28 of Lake Ridge Trail, Denton died Friday, January 27, 2012. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, January 30 at Denton Wesleyan Church conducted by Rev. Charles Moses and Josh Moses. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the home of Austin and Wanda Clodfelter on Dakota’s Trail, Denton. Brooks was born June 14, 1983 in Guilford County to Jeff and Angie Clodfelter Nelson. He was a member of Denton Wesleyan Church, a graduate of South Davidson High School, and had worked as an electrician. In addition to his parents Brooks is survived by his great grandmother, Ida Clodfelter, grandparents, Austin and Wanda Clodfelter of Denton and Bob and Kaye Nelson of Trinity, Aunts and Uncles; Jerry and Tracey Aaron, Blake and Erica Henley, Robert and Marsha Nelson, Ricky and Angie Nelson, and Robbie and Tessa Lawson, cousins; Ana and Bailey Aaron, Sam and Erin Nelson, Dru Painter, and Hollie Nelson. The family ask memorials be sent to Denton Wesleyan Church.
